In my e-mail today, I find that I am invited to "Natural Selection Speed Date."

Apparently, this ah...service, shall we euphemistically call it?...aspires to match rich guys with hot girls.

Here are the qualifications for a man — at least $200,000 a year income, $1 million in invested assets and $4 million in trust. These are the minimum requirements.

Somebody has grossly over estimated my wealth.

Here are the qualifications for a woman — five pictures to be judged entirely on beauty with no additional information accepted.

Cost for men: $500.
Cost for women: $50.
Cost for divorce lawyer in six months who can get around prenup: $30,000-plus.
Knowing you are completely shallow: Priceless.

Okay, maybe I'm being a tad judgmental. I suppose the rich and beautiful need love too.

Tonight I plan to check on my investments by going to the pantry and seeing if the pesto sauce and pasta I purchased shares of at Publix can yield dinner.

I would make a salad but I think the my shares of spinach I bought last week have significantly gone down in value and also are beginning to smell.
